LIS 9170A-001 (Fall 2017)   Special Topic: Progressive Library Politics

Course Description
An overview of library policy that intersects with progressive politics. Examination of critical perspectives in LIS, including trends in LIS education, theory and practice that aim to promote social justice in the context of libraries, for the public good. Strategies to promote progressive movements and the development of projects to mobilize knowledge to the public.
