MS 9275   Political Economy of Communication

Course Description
This course introduces students to classic and contemporary approaches to the political economy of communication by addressing the work of critical theorists ranging from Karl Marx to David Harvey. More specifically, it addresses the dynamics, mediations, and cultural capacities that characterize and shape both capitalist and non-capitalist societies. Through this focus, students will further their understanding of both critical political economy and developments related to communications and culture.
