MIT 3778A/B   Making: Theory and Practice

Course Description
This course examines the ideas, methods and politics of making—from hobby, craft, repair and DIY cultures, to the more entrepreneurial ‘makerspaces’ and ‘fab labs’ promoted by education and business. This hands-on, collaborative course explores making, breaking and taking apart through in-class projects and individual final projects.

Antirequisites: MIT 3430B if taken in 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-21.
