Creative solution: Western University program targets in-demand job skills

A new program at Western University aims to broaden students’ awareness of creativity as an essential job skill for the 21st century.

The creative arts and production program will also look at the role creativity plays in the world, says Jo Devereux, interim director of the four-year undergraduate program that launches in the fall.

“Students have been looking for ways to incorporate creativity into their studies,” she said. “They enjoy the intellectual exploration of subjects, but so many of them also want to bring their creative talents to bear on their coursework, and in courses outside their home faculty.
