Norfolk County is a community of 64,000, nestled on the shores of Lake Erie. The County is a mix of small-town rural and cottage communities. The Norfolk County Public Library is a 5-branch non-unionized system with its administrative offices located in Simcoe, Ontario.

Reporting to the Library Board and under the authority of the Public Library Act, the Library Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the operational and financial management of the 5-branch library system and for advancing the Library’s strategic direction in a manner that reflects the organization’s mission and vision. The CEO serves as the Secretary/Treasurer and advisor to the Board and as its primary representative to the citizens of Norfolk County, community organizations, media, municipal administration, and other levels of government. The CEO leads by example and shapes the culture of the organization, creating an environment that supports innovation, action, accountability, and customer service.

Qualified candidates will have a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS). Master of Public Administration and/or suitable equivalent related education and experience may be considered. A minimum of five years of progressive management experience with a community library or comparable non-profit organization is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $94,742-$118,430, based on thirty-five (35) hours per week.
