MIT 4038F/G   Special Topics in MIT: Medium Theory

Course Description
This course introduces and applies “medium theory” (an approach initiated by Harold Innis and developed by Marshall McLuhan) to concepts and issues related to Media Studies.  The class features an intensive seminar format involving complex theoretical work, student-led discussions, and the required completion of a 5000-word research paper.
