Course Description

Media piracy and issues of intellectual property are at the forefront of contemporary debates about media, human agency, access to knowledge, and cultural distribution. This course offers students a historical introduction to issues related to media piracy, the philosophical roots of current debates, and critical engagement with pirate tactics and cultural practices.
