Instructor: I. Ajiferuke

Course Description
Quantitative aspects of survey design: sampling methods and design of questionnaires. Experimental research: experimental and quasi-experimental designs. Quantitative content analysis. Review of descriptive statistical analysis techniques. Introduction to simple inferential statistical methods: hypothesis testing, tests of relationship between two variables, t-test, one-way ANOVA, factorial ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. A survey of advanced statistical methods: factor analysis, principal component analysis, clustering, multidimensional scaling, log-linear analysis, logistic regression, ordinal regression, discriminant analysis, path analysis, and social network analysis.
