Course Description
This course explores the social, political, and economic contexts of locative media: smartphone apps like Tinder, Uber and Google Maps that make use of people’s location coordinates to provide information about the people, places and events around them in the moment. The course covers issues such as mobility, space and time, privacy, security, identity and relationships.
