  • About Me

  • Research

Trained as an artist and filmmaker, I've have exhibited my work in diverse national and International venues such as the Northern Spark Art Fest in Minneapolis, Euroshorts Film Festival in Warsaw, and the Nanjing Museum in China.

Influenced by psychoanalytic thought and affect theory, I seek out collaborations with other artists to make work that looks beyond social critique towards a reparative mode of cultural production.

My research focuses on counterpublics of masculinity in North America. Based on an array of theories, from Benedict Anderson’s ideas on imagined communities to Melanie Klein’s work on envy, I intend to develop a reparative framework that examines how different media function in the subjection of young men aligned with the involuntary celibate or “incel” movement in the US and Canada.
