  • About Me

My research focuses on the role of different media in the misogynist radicalization of male youth in North American culture. Using an array of theories, from Benedict Anderson’s ideas on imagined communities to Melanie Klein’s work on envy, I intend to develop a unique critical lens that examines how media functions in the subject formation of young men dedicated to the involuntary celibate or “incel” movement in the U.S. and Canada. My goal is to establish a reparative framework of this destructive phenomenon, one that looks beyond illuminating its contours to seek a broader understanding from a position of hope and recovery.
