Krista Jamieson (she/they) is a part-time PhD student in FIMS and a full time academic archivist living in Hamilton, ON in the Between the Lakes Treaty (1792), traditional lands of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek. Krista's research is about selection for archival digitization and is informed by her professional practices.  Krista approaches this work as a queer feminist, using intersectional feminism and standpoint theory to guide her research ethics and focus. Her research interests include ethics in archival decision making, critical archival studies, and decolonizing archival description.

Krista's background is in archiving (MLIS, McGill University) and film preservation (MA, University of Amsterdam). She has worked in digitization and digital archiving at Dalhousie University, the Provincial Archives of Alberta, the University of Alberta, and McMaster University.
