My areas of specialization include research methods and statistics, information systems and technology, information retrieval, knowledge management, and informetrics/webometrics. I am currently teaching the following courses in the MLIS & PhD programs: Statistics, Knowledge Management, and Information Retrieval: Theory and Practice. I am also teaching the Introduction to Information Retrieval course at the undergraduate level in the MIT program.
My research interests include the impact of information and communications technologies, evaluation of information retrieval systems, informetrics/webometrics, and knowledge management. The focus of my current research projects is in the area of webometrics.
