Houda is an international Ph.D. student in Media studies; Her research interests are at the intersection of Journalism Studies, Feminist Ethics, and Humanitarian Communications. She loves teaching and is keen on developing her course design and delivery skills with support from the Center for teaching and Learning at Western. She holds am MA in Media Studies from the American University of Beirut and a BA in Communication Arts-Journalism from the Lebanese American University. Her professional experiences entail journalistic writing and reporting, training on Conflict Sensitive Reporting, and working in the non-for-profit sector in Lebanon as a communications officer before she decided it was finally time to pursue her dream in academia.
