Television Instructors 
 

Cliff Lonsdale teaches the television section of J700 in the summer - basic television reporting and production. He will also be teaching J752, Theory and Practice of Television Journalism in the fall of 2002.

Cliff has 23 years of experience at CBC news in Canada and abroad. He's been  Executive Producer for The National, Chief News Editor for CBC Television  and Head of Production for CBC News, Current Affairs, and Newsworld.

He has also made fourteen hours of independent television documentaries that have been broadcast around the world.  He also freelances for various news organizations.

 


Broadcast manager David Mills instructs students in all aspects of television production, including digital video shooting and Avid non-linear video editing.

He runs UWO's Contact Western media service to television news networks from the FIMS television studio. 

Dave stays up-to-date with the latest technology by attending conferences such as the annual NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) conference. 

He is also a freelance videographer.
