The degree/diploma program in Media Theory and Production (MTP) is a collaboration between the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at Western and Fanshawe College. The program is for students who want to combine a solid academic background with hands-on technical skills.You can enter this program after your first year in the general MIT program.
Upon completion of the four-year MTP program, you will have earned the equivalent of a three-year BA in MIT and a two-year college diploma in one of four areas:
- Multimedia Design & Production
- Broadcasting — Television
- Journalism — Broadcast
- Broadcasting — Radio
After completing your first year at Western as an MTP student, you will select one of the four areas of study for the Fanshawe diploma, and will take courses on both campuses to complete your requirements.
