Academic Qualifications and Selection Procedures
Applicants must hold at least a Master's degree in Media Studies, Communication or a related field appropriate to the interdisciplinary strength of the program. A minimum 78% overall average in the last degree is required. Students born outside Canada whose first language is not English also must provide evidence of achieving a score of at least 107 (Internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a score of 8.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), taken within the last 2 years, as detailed in the application procedure.
As part of the admissions process, an interview may be held, either in person or via teleconference, if the admissions committee desires further information about a particular applicant.
