Course Description

This course will introduce students to the practice and principles of mobile journalism. Students will learn the basics of journalistic storytelling, including what a story is, how to gather and how to present stories. The focus will be on video journalism and on producing stories using smartphones and free or low cost apps. Students will learn to plan, research, shoot, write, voice, edit and share video stories, as well as how to effectively broadcast live news coverage.
