Areas of Concentration
Maintenance and oversight of the faculty’s online presence through the FIMS website, FIMS social media accounts and the FIMS Intranet. Includes content planning and production, modification, moderating, monitoring and community-building.
FIMS SharePoint and faculty support:
Maintenance and oversight of FIMS SharePoint sites. Collaborates with faculty and staff in the creation/deletion/planning of sites. Provides technical assistance for students, staff and faculty. Archiving and migrating materials.
Work with staff, students and faculty in the coordination and production of the Grad Bulletin, Alumni Newsletter and handbooks, including the Graduate Student Handbooks, Faculty Administrative Handbook and Faculty Academic Policy Handbook.
Serves as an information resource for the Faculty, informing and advising on regulations, policies and guidelines such as FIPPA, AODA, OWL Sakai, university graphics standards, etc. Publish News & Announcements feed, updating and publishing of news and event information across multiple platforms, administration of the FIMS JobWeb (a service for LIS and Journalism alumni).
Production or coordination of FIMS recruitment or other promotional materials, aimed at getting word out about the programs and expertise offered at FIMS.
Liaises with Department of Communications and Public Affairs. Works in conjunction with communications personnel from across the university.
