Luke Arnott holds a BA in History and Classics from McGill University (2004), and an MA in Comparative Literature (2008) and a PhD in Media Studies from the University of Western Ontario (2015). He has a standing appointment in the Faculty of Information and Media Studies and teaches courses in the MIT, Digicomm, and CAP programs.

Luke has developed and taught courses such as MIT 3371/DIGICOMM 3206 "From Arcades to Esports: Video Game Culture, Technology and Industry," MIT 2185 "The Story of Play: Why Games Matter," and DIGICOMM 3307 "Livestreaming: Theory and Practice."

In addition, Luke has also taught MIT 3200 "Rebels and Rogues: Outlaws in Culture and Theory," MIT 2153 "Entertainment Industries and Popular Culture," MIT 2155 "Social Media, Virtual Gaming and Networked Life" and MIT 3901 "Getting the Message Out: Activism and Mainstream Media."
