Benefits of Student Membership
So, you may be interested but you want to know: "what do I get for my annual US $40 student membership fee?". Good question! Check out these reasons:
- Networking: "It's not what you know but who you know": well, there's some truth to this expression. Get the inside track on many different aspects of special librarianship and those jobs that no one on the outside hears about.

- Saving the Bucks: Let's face it: you'll probably belong to several professional organizations during your career. The student membership is less than half the full membership fee. You might as well save money while you can!

How YOU Can Join SLA
To sign up, there are two options. The FIRST option is to join online by clicking on the link above and choosing "JOIN Now Online". You will need a credit card to join by this method.
The SECOND option is to follow the directions for "If you live outside the United States, membership dues may now be paid by check in €, £, CAN$, and AUS$". You can print out the application form and mail it to: Special Libraries Association, P.O. Box 75338, Baltimore, MD 21275 USA.
