Your commitment
Working as a member of the Library team and reporting to the Library Manager, the successful candidate will provide professional assistance in all aspects of providing access to information in an academic library, with specific responsibility for: reference and research assistance; faculty liaising; development, implementation and delivery of general and course-related information literacy instruction; selection and evaluation of information resources; and in-house staff training on reference techniques and resources. Participating in committees and meetings, both internal and external, is another key role.

Your qualifications
An ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library or Information Science, or equivalent, is required.  Experience in professional library work including demonstrated experience and knowledge in instruction and the development and provision of instruction and reference services is required.  Experience and knowledge of collection management and acquisitions is essential.  Experience in an academic library would be a definite asset.  Effective problem solving skills, the ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of an organization, and expert fluency in English is required.  Intercultural competence, including sensitivity and adaptability, and the ability to conduct oneself appropriately in another culture is essential.  Knowledge of CNA and its programs is preferred.
