Examinations

There will be a final written examination in each 1000 level MIT course. In other MIT courses, scheduling of a final exam will be at the discretion of the Instructor.

Students will be informed of the format of the final examination on the course outline.

In courses with more than one section, the final examination may be common to all sections, but the Instructors have the option of setting individual examinations.

All requests for Special Examinations (SPC), Incomplete Standing (INC) or Aegrotat Standing (AEG) must be presented in writing to the student's home faculty, Dean's Office.

Special examinations are normally written at the University or an Affiliated College no later than one month after the end of the examination period involved.
