Western's International Exchange Programs include a number of partnerships that offer courses that fit with the MIT Program in FIMS. If students are looking to fulfill modular requirements for their Honors Specialization or Major module in MIT, the Faculty recommends the following partner universities:
Griffith University, Australia
Edith Cowan University, Australia
University of New South Wales, Australia
Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
City University, Hong Kong
Lancaster University, U.K.
University of East Anglia Norwich, U.K.
California State University at Sacramento, U.S.A.
One of your first steps in learning about participating in a Western Exchange Program is to attend an information session administered by the International Exchange Coordinator. These hour-long sessions held in October and November will provide you with details on the application process, requirements and deadlines for all Western programs. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions, and at selected sessions you will be able to talk with Western students who have participated in an exchange. For more information and to contact the International and Exchange Student Centre, visit the Student Development Centre Exchange page.

FIMS students may apply to other exchange partnerships offered by Western but should note that courses taken will be electives and not for transfer credit towards an Honors or Major module in MIT.
If there is a university not listed that you would like to attend, you must obtain a Letter of Permission. This form, which can be picked up from the FIMS main office in North Campus Building, Room 240, allows you to study abroad and obtain transfer credit at Western. With this option, you will be required to pay international student fees and, in some cases, apply for admission at the international university.
