WISE
The Faculty of Information and Media Studies is a member of Web-based Information Science Education (WISE), a consortium of schools committed to providing collaborative distance education opportunities in library and information science. Our membership in WISE provides LIS students at Western with the opportunity to take elective online courses from other ALA-accredited programs.

The MLIS Program Committee preselects appropriate WISE courses and makes them available to MLIS students. The number and selection of WISE courses available to Western MLIS students will vary each term, and enrolment in WISE courses is limited. There is no guarantee that a student who requests enrolment will receive a space in the course.
