| Globe and Mail reporter Christie Blatchford is a well-known Canadian journalist who has worked for the Toronto Star, the Toronto Sun and the National Post, covering everything from sports and lifestyle to current affairs and crime. In 2006, as a reporter for the Globe and Mail, Blatchford spent time embedded with the Canadian troops during three different assignments to Afghanistan. In her recent book, FIFTEEN DAYS: Stories of Bravery, Friendship, Life and Death from Inside the New Canadian Army, she writes about her experiences in Afghanistan, and about the courageous men and women she met there.
