| Scott Taylor is an award-winning Canadian journalist and author. A former professional soldier, he is currently editor and publisher of Esprit de Corps, a Canadian military magazine. Taylor is a veteran war correspondent who has reported on military conflict around the globe, though he is perhaps best known for his coverage of Iraq. Since August 2000, Taylor has made 20 trips there to report on the effects of the UN sanctions, the ravages of depleted uranium following the 1991 Gulf War, and the heightening tensions with the United States. Taylor is the author of five books, including Tarnished Brass: Crime and Corruption in the Canadian Military (with Brian Nolan); Tested Mettle: Canada’s Peacekeepers at War (with Brian Nolan); Inat: Images of Serbia and the Kosovo Conflict; Diary of an Uncivil War: The Violent Aftermath of the Kosovo Conflict; and Spinning on the Axis of Evil: America’s War Against Iraq. His most recent book, Among the ‘Others’: The Forgotten Turkmen of Iraq, was published in October 2004 by Esprit de Corps Books. Western News: Question military, journalist argues (pdf, 43KB) |
